ALIMANGO (ABATAN LINCOD MANGROVE GROWERS’ ORGANIZATION) BOARDWALK NATURE TOUR – A people’s organization committed to conservation and preservation of our natural resources through the Community Based Forest Management Program (CBFMP).  Assisted by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) for funding for the 2 Multi-Purpose building for ecological tourism and the Department of Agriculture Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (DA-BFAR) for supporting the Fish Pen Project. Present in the area are the nipa mangroves and botanical garden.

 

Take a walk, relax and unwind at the ALIMANGO Boardwalk and Cottages, experience Nipa Shingles Production Demo, Bird & Firefly Watching and boating at the Abatan River.

Explore the Postan Mangrove Forest during the day through boat rowing and kayaking, be able to identify the century-old mangrove species, observe the habitat of crabs, shrimps, other riparian species of flora and fauna as well as migratory birds.  You can also enjoy Firefly Watching along the Abatan River at night and be amazed with these winged beetles.

Witness cultural presentations by the Lincod Cultural Collective, dance through their way of life at the Abatan Activity Center.

ALIMANGO BOARDWALK is located along the highway, 10 kms from Tagbilaran City and 5 kms from Poblacion, Maribojoc. It is accessible by tricycles, habal-habal, jeepneys, vans and buses.
