LEGEND OF TINIBGAN:

TINBGAN (1894) – The old folks who are residing in this barangay narrated that the name Tinibgan was derived from the word “tigib” or chisel. There are many springs in this place. These springs are located at the base of the huge mountains that appeared to be carved by big chisels or “tigib“. This is the reason why the early natives called the place Tinibgan. It may also be logical to say that the name Tinibgan is coined from the word “tubig“ which means water. Due to the abundance of water in the area during the early days, the place was called “tinubigan“ which may be shortened as Tinibgan.
