LEGEND OF ANISLAG:

ANISLAG (1919) – In the early part of the 18th century, Anislag was one of the sitios of barangay Lincod. In this sitio, particularly at the junction of the main highway and the road leading to the barangay of Punsod, grew a big tree called “Anislag.“ It has fine leaves and with thick bark. It was the only tree of its’ kind that thrived in the entire barrio of Lincod. Thus, the name of barangay Anislag originated. With the increase in population of barangay Anislag, its sitio Opong was separated and created into a barangay in the year 1972 named as San Vicente.
