LEGEND OF CANDAVID:

CANDAVID (1912) – The name Candavid, originated from the phrase “Kang David. “ There was once a very wealthy native named David who owned most of the valley and hills in this place, planted with baliw, corn, coconut, and root crops. His agricultural income at that time was considerably abundant because of his pet, a very big snake serving as watcher of his farm. Nobody would dare to steal his crops.

David was known everywhere for his generosity. He shared his fortune to his neighbors and friends. Through the years, the word “ Kang David “ was changed to “Candavid”, along with the passing of the great man David, the unforgettable hero of the natives.
