LEGEND OF TORIL:

TORIL (1960) – There used to be a cluster of bamboo grass planted in a circular formation where the Catholic chapel of Toril now stands. These plants served as the shelter of farm animals such as cows and carabaos. The residents used this place to pasture and graze their working animals. They called this place as “toril” which means in the vernacular as a safe place where animals are kept. From then on, the name Toril was adopted as the name of this barangay.
