RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HON. LEONCIO B. EVASCO, JR. TO SEEK PROJECT FUNDING ASSISTANCE FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE IN THEIR FARM-TO-MARKET ROAD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR LGU-MARIBOJOC, BOHOL.

WHEREAS, the Municipality of Maribojoc, Bohol has many farm to market roads which need improvement particularly in the far-flung barangays this municipality;
WHEREAS, the Municipal Mayor is aware that the Department of Agriculture has a farm-to- market road development program for the municipalities that are in need for financial assistance for this purpose;
WHEREAS, the different barangays of Maribojoc, Bohol whose farm-to-market roads are damaged badly due to constant heavy rains and passage of trucks and motorcycles need rehabilitation for the smooth operation of vehicles using these roads;
WHEREAS, the said barangays are the suppliers of different root crops, vegetables and native handicrafts and other products during market days and other days in the town of Maribojoc, Bohol;
WHEREAS, the farm-to-market roads in the different barangays of the town ought to be improved and maintained in good shape and condition for the benefit and welfare of our farmers and the inhabitants of the barangays;
WHEREAS, the LGU-Maribojoc has no funds available for the rehabilitation of the farm- to-market roads and we have no other recourse than to seek project funding assistance from the Department of Agriculture in order encourage our farmers to continue their efforts to improve the agriculture outputs of this agricultural town of Maribojoc, Bohol;
WHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Bayan in their session duly assembled, to authorize Hon. Leoncio B. Evasco, Jr., Municipal Mayor, to seek project funding assistance from the Department of Agriculture in their farm-to-market road development program for the LGU-Maribojoc, Bohol;
BE IT RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be furnished, the Hon. Arthur Yap, Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Metro Manila, for favorable action.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be furnished the Hon. Leoncio B. Evasco, Jr., Municipal Mayor, Maribojoc, Bohol for guidance and appropriate action.
