REQUESTING BOHECO-1 MANAGEMENT AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS TO SCRAP THE SYSTEM LOSS AND OTHER CHARGES BEING IMPOSED BY THE COOPERATIVE TO ITS CONSUMERS OF THE SERVICE AREA.

WHEREAS, the Bohol Electric Cooperative-I was created in order to serve the people of the twenty six (26) towns of Bohol;
WHEREAS, the BOHECO-I is a private entity whose mission and goal is for the improvement of the community and for the upliftment of the people;
WHEREAS, the BOHECO-I has been operating in the service area for the past thirty seven (37) years and within this period, it has achieved the mission and goal of the cooperative;
WHEREAS, at this present time, the Boheco-I charges are high wherein our poor people felt the hardship in paying their electric bills;
WHEREAS, the System Loss and other charges under the Value Added Tax category ought not to be imposed to the electric consumers since the consumers have not consumed these losses;
WHEREAS, the people felt the hardship during this time of high prices of prime commodities, hence the charges being imposed to the electric consumers can help reduce the expenses of the families once the system loss and other charges will be scrapped by the Management and Board of Directors for the good of the consumers;
WHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Bayan in their session duly assembled;
BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to request BOHECO-I Management and Board of Directors to scrap the System Loss and other charges being imposed by the cooperative to its consumers of the service area;
BE IT RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be furnished, the General Manager, BOHECO-I and the Board of Directors, BOHECO-I, Macaas, Tubigon Bohol, NAPOCOR, Tagbilaran City and Energy Regulatory Commission, Metro Manila for appropriate action and consideration.
