RESOLUTION REQUIRING ALL BARANGAY CAPTAINS TO REFLECT THE COMMUNITY TAX CERTIFICATE NUMBER IN EVERY BARANGAY CLEARANCE ISSUED TO ANY BARANGAY RESIDENT.

WHEREAS, the New Local Government Codes of 1991 provides that municipalities may levy an annual community tax effective January 1, 1992;
WHEREAS, every individual of legal age is mandated by law to secure the community tax before transacting business in any local government unit;
WHEREAS, it is the standard operating procedure that in public document issued to a natural or juridical person, the community tax certificate number and the place and date issued is reflected in such instrument;
WHEREAS, the community tax certificate is a conclusive evidence of being a good citizen and resident in any social and political institution;
WHEREAS, it is observable that some of the barangay residents in the municipality of maribojoc, who are of legal age, have not secured the required community tax as the are not engage in business activities and they secure only the said certificate as the need arises;
WHEREAS, the above mentioned resolution will help in augmenting the municipal and barangay income in every fiscal year;
WHEREFORE, be it resolved, to request all Punong Barangays in the Municipality of Maribojoc, to reflect the community tax certificate number, and the place and the date issued in every barangay clearance issued to any barangay resident.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be furnished, to the office of the Department of Interior and Local Government and all Barangay Captains of the Municipality of Maribojoc, Bohol.
