AUTHORIZING THE EXTENSION OF THE CONTRACT PERIOD OF THE CADASTRAL SURVEY OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF MARIBOJOC, BOHOL..

WHEREAS, the Cadastral Survey of all lands in the Municipality of Maribojoc, Bohol being contracted by the three (3) private Survey Contractors has not been completed within the specified period of the contract;
WHEREAS, the private survey contractors have encountered problems in past many months due to lack of financial support from the lot owners in their obligations to the private contractors;
WHEREAS, due to some constraints in the full implementation of the Cadastral Survey in the barangays, the contract period in the completion of the survey of the lands in Maribojoc, Bohol has not been met by the contractors;
WHEREAS, the Maribojoc Officials and the lot owner’s desire to complete the Maribojoc Cadastre project, the Cadastral Survey should be completed on the ground that Maribojoc is one of the few towns whose lands are not titled by the DENR;
WHEREAS, if the lands of a municipality will not be titled, there is a possibility that the private lots will be declared by the government as public lands;
WHEREAS, to avoid the declaration of the lands into public lands, it is imperative that the Cadastral Survey undertaken by the private survey contractors be extended to another date in order to allow the private contractors to finish the cadastral survey;
WHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Bayan in their session duly assembled;
“To authorize the extension of the contract period of the Cadastral Survey of the Municipality of Maribojoc, Bohol;”
BE IT RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be furnished, the Regional Executive Director, DENR, Region VII, Cebu City, the PENRO, Province of Bohol, Tagbilaran City for their appropriate action.
