REQUESTING THE DISTRICT ENGINEER, DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AND HIGHWAYS-I AND HANJIN CONSTRUCTION, TAGBILARAN CITY TO COMPLETE THE DRAINAGE CANAL FROM THE CORNER OF THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY AND ECHAVEZ ST. TO THE MANGROVE AREA NEAR THE RESIDENCE OF MRS. LUZ S. SANCHEZ, POBLACION, MARIBOJOC, BOHOL.

WHEREAS, the road and drainage canal project of the Hanjin Construction have lefts some unfinished portion of drainage canal in Poblacion, Maribojoc, Bohol;
WHEREAS, the drainage canal at the corner of the national highway and Echavez St. near the residence of Mrs. Alejandra Arocha of Poblacion this municipality becomes the breeding place of mosquitoes due to stagnant water in the unfinished drainage canal;
WHERERAS, the residents of Ipil area have requested that this drainage canal be completed because it has started in its excavation;
WHEREAS, if this drainage canal will not be completed, it will become a permanent breeding place of mosquitoes which will endanger the residents of the area especially the children who are vulnerable to dengue fever disease;
WHEREAS, by commitment of the contractor and DPWH-I, it is an obligation of the implementation of the road construction to complete the project being done in the Municipality of Maribojoc, Bohol;
WHEREFORE, be it resolved, as it is hereby resolved by the Sangguniang Bayan in their session duly assembled;
“To request the District Engineer, DPWH-I and Hanjin Construction, Tagbilaran City to complete the drainage canal from the corner of the National Highway and Echavez St. to the mangrove area near the residence of Mrs. Luz S. Sanchez, Poblacion, Maribojoc, Bohol”;
BE IT RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be furnished, District Engineer Celestino Adalaon and the Office-In-Charge, Hanjin Construction, Tagbilaran City for appropriate action.
