RESOLUTION GRANTING THE SVI BATCH ’74 GRADUATES’ REQUEST FOR AN OFFICE SPACE AT THE MARIBOJOC PUBLIC MARKET, MARIBOJOC, BOHOL.

WHEREAS, the Saint Vincent Ferrer Multi Purpose Cooperative is a cooperative with incorporators from Batch 74 of Saint Vincent Institute, Maribojoc, Bohol;
WHEREAS, the said cooperative, if properly ran and managed, promises a lot of potential and could be a valuable partner of the local government in undertaking different income-generating and socio-economic enterprises that could rev-up the economy of the municipality and its people;
WHEREAS, there is a need for the above-mentioned cooperative to hold office in a location accessible to members, clients and other stake holders;
WHEREAS, subject cooperative is still in the infancy of its operation, with limited financial resources, and thus needs all the support it needs;
WHEREAS, a vacant space is existing adjacent to the Municipal Library inside the Public Market formerly used by the Maribojoc Cooperative which is presently non-operating;
WHEREAS, any private financial institution or entity that renders or is about to assist the Local Government Unit (LGU) in its task of providing help and support to its constituents in the form of livelihood programs is mandated to give support to cooperatives as provided for in the Cooperative Code of the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA);
WHEREFORE, PREMISES CONSIDERED, BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED to grant the SVI Batch ’74 graduates’ request an office space of the Maribojoc Public Market, Maribojoc, Bohol;
RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be furnished the Hon. Leoncio B. Evasco, Jr., the Sangguniang Bayan and other concerned agencies for their information and guidance.
