RESOLUTION REQUESTING HON. MARGARITO B. TEVES, SECRETARY, DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE, METRO MANILA TO RECLASSIFY THE MUNICIPALITY OF MARIBOJOC, BOHOL FROM 5TH CLASS INTO 4TH CLASS MUNICIPALITY..

WHEREAS, the Municipality of Maribojoc, Bohol is a 5th Class municipality per reclassification issuance of the Department of Finance in the classification order in the year 2004;
WHEREAS, the Municipality of Maribojoc, Bohol has an actual income collected in the following fiscal year, to wit:
F.Y. 2004 – - – - P22,977,954.43
F.Y. 2005 – - – - P24,905,672.38
F.Y. 2006 – - – - P26,779,371.31
F.Y. 2007 – - – - P29,697,966.39
Total – -P104,260.964.50
WHEREAS, the average actual annual income from the year 2004 to 2007 is P26,065,241.12, which can be considered a fourth class municipality;
WHEREAS, the Municipality of Maribojoc, Bohol has a population of 17,393 people per 2007 census on population conducted by the National Census and Statistics Office;
WHEREAS, the town of Maribojoc, Bohol has a land area of 6,976 hectares of agricultural and residential lands;
WHEREAS, the Municipality of Maribojoc, Bohol is presently operating a total annual budget of P32 million more or less including the supplemental budgets for C.Y. 2008;
WHEREAS, it is the dream and aspirations of the Municipal Officials and employees and its people that the town of Maribojoc, Bohol will be reclassified as a 4th class municipality in the Province of Bohol since our present budget of 2008 can be classified as a 4th class town;
WHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Bayan in their session duly assembled;
BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to request the Honorable Margarito B. Teves, Secretary, Department of Finance, whose ancestry comes from the town of Maribojoc, Bohol to reclassify the Municipality of Maribojoc, Bohol from 5th class municipality into a 4th class town;
BE IT RESOLVED FURTHER, that copy of this resolution be furnished, to Hon. Margarito B. Teves, Secretary, Department of Finance, Manila for his kind consideration of this request.
