WHEREAS, per provisions of the Local Government Code of 1991, the Local Government Unit of a certain municipality is empowered to grant a permit for a cockfighting activity within its jurisdiction;
WHEREAS, the grant of permit to conduct a cockfighting activity is being devolved to the Local Government Unit per provisions of the Local Government Code of 1991;
WHEREAS, the Management of the Maribojoc cockers Circle has requested the Sangguniang Bayan to conduct a Three-Cock Derby on April 26, 2002 on the ground that a portion of the proceeds of the cockfighting activity will be donated to Barangay Dipatlong, Maribojoc, Bohol in order to help and augment the funds for the expenses of the Centennial Celebration of Dipatlong, Maribojoc, Bohol from April 25-27, 2002;
WHEREAS, the conduct of a Three Cock Derby on april 26, 2002 is in line with the Centennial Celebration of Barangay Dipatlong, Maribojoc, Bohol and a portion of the proceeds is used for the expenses of the Centennial Celebration of said barangay;
WHEREFORE be it resolved by the Sangguniang Bayan in their session duly assembled;
“To allow the Management of the Maribojoc Cockers Circle to conduct a Three-Cock Derby on April 26, 2002 at the Maribojoc Cockers Circle, San Vicente, Maribojoc, Bohol for their guidance and information.;”
BE IT RESOLVED FURTHER that a copy of this resolution be furnished, the Management of the Maribojoc Cockers Circle, San Vicente, Maribojoc, Bohol for their guidance and information.
