RESOLUTION REQUESTING SENATOR RAMON B. REVILLA JR., CHAIRPERSON, COMMITTEE ON PUBLIC WORKS, PHILIPPINE SENATE, MANILA TO APPROPRIATE AND RELEASE THE AMOUNT OF ONE MILLION PESOS ( P1,000,000.00 ) FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE SENIOR CITIZENS CENTER IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MARIBOJOC, PROVINCE OF BOHOL.

WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 7876 is “An Act Establishing a Senior Citizens Center in all cities and Municipalities of the Philippines and Appropriating Funds Therefore” to cater to older persons’ socialization and interaction needs as well as to serve as venue for the conduct of other meaningful activities;
WHEREAS, the present Senior Citizens Center in the Municipality of Maribojoc, Province of Bohol is improvised and located in an old vacated room in the commercial center of the municipality;
WHEREAS, the improvised Senior Citizens Center doesn’t meet the facilities and other devices required to enhance and uplift the morale of the elderly people;
WHEREAS, the center is dilapidating and endangers the safety of the senior citizens;
WHEREAS, the over-all view of the Senior Citizens Center in the municipality is unbecoming especially that it is in the commercial center of the municipality;
WHEREFORE, be it resolved, as it is hereby resolved by the Sangguniang Bayan in their session duly assembled;
“To request Senator Ramon B. Revilla Jr., Chairperson, Committee on Public Works, Philippines Senate, Manila to appropriate and release the amount of One Million Pesos
( P1,000,000.00 ) for the Construction of the Senior Citizens Center in the Municipality of Maribojoc, Province of Bohol;
BE IT RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be furnished to Hon. Ramon B. Revilla Jr., Senator, Philippines Senate, Manila for his information and appropriate action.
