APPROVING RESOLUTION NO. 38, SERIES OF 2001 OF PUNTA CRUZ, RE; TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF MUNICIPAL ORDINANCE NO. 30.94 FOR A PERIOD OF ONE AND A HALF (1½) MONTHS.

WHEREAS, Municipal Ordinance No. 30, series of 1994 declares a portion at Punta Cruz Seawaters as “No Fishing Zone” for the conservation and growth of fishes in the said area;
WHEREAS, this “NO Fishing Zone Area” in the seawaters at Punta Cruz is like a marine fish sanctuary wherein fishes of all kinds will be allowed to grow and there will be a time that these fishes will be harvested by the fisherfolks of Punta Cruz;
WHEREAS, during the month of March and April, these fishes are to be harvested by the fisherfolks of Punta Cruz;
WHEREAS, in order not to violate the provisions of the Ordinance No. 30-94, it is imperative that the enforcement of said ordinance will be temporarily suspended in order to allow the fisherfolks of Punta Cruz to fish in the area of “NO Fishing Zone” for the benefit of the marginal fishermen of Punta Cruz for consumption purposes;
WHEREAS, the effectivity of the temporary suspension of Municipal Ordinance No. 30-94 will be on March 16, 2002 until April 30, 2002,
WHEREFORE be it resolved by the Sangguniang Bayan in their session duly assembled;
“To approve Resolution No. 38-2001 of Punta Cruz, Re: Temporary Suspension of Municipa Ordinance No. 30-94 effective 16th March to April 30, 2002.”
BE IT RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be furnished, the Barangay Council of Punta Cruz, Maribojoc for their guidance and implementation..
