RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HON. LEONCIO B. EVASCO, JR., MUNICIPAL MAYOR, MARIBOJOC, BOHOL TO ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE BOHOL ALLIANCE OF NON-GOVERNMENT ORGANIZATIONS (BANGON), REPRESENTED BY ITS BOARD OF TRUSTEES PRESIDENT, DR. GLORIA T. CASABAL FOR A PROJECT PROPONENT IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MARIBOJOC, BOHOL.

WHEREAS, the Municipality of Maribojoc adopt the “Building Livelihoods and Enterprises in Support of Sustainable Ecotourism Development in Maribojoc (BLESSED-Maribojoc Project)”;
WHEREAS, the abovementioned project, with support from the Australian Agency for International Development / Philippines-Australia Community Assistance Program (AusAID / PACAP), aims to improve the socio-economic condition of poor fisherfolks, women and community members in barangays Bood, Guiwanon, Lagtangon, and Punta Cruz of Maribojoc while showcasing Bohol’s rich cultural and sound environmental management practices through eco-cultural tourism site and enterprises development and improved coastal resources management;
WHEREAS, the AusAID/PACAP funding policy requires that the project proponent and beneficiaries provide a minimum counterpart contribution of 25% of the total project cost and generate additional 8% contribution from the community and other organizations involved in the project;
WHEREFORE, be it resolved as it is hereby resolved to authorize Hon. Leoncio B. Evasco, Jr., Municipal Mayor to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Bohol Alliance of Non-Government Organizations (BANGON), represented by its Board of Trustees President, Dr. Gloria T. Casabal for a Project Proponents in the Municipality of Maribojoc, Bohol.
RESOLVED FURTHERMORE, that copies of this resolution be furnished to Honorable Leoncio B. Evasco, Jr., Municipal Mayor, Maribojoc, Bohol, and Board of Trustees President, Dr. Gloria T. Casabal corner Matig-a and Hontanosas Sts., Tagbilaran City, Bohol for their information and guidance.
