A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HON. LEONCIO B. EVASCO, JR., MUNICIPAL MAYOR, MARIBOJOC, BOHOL TO GRANT AN EXCAVATION CLEARANCE TO GLOBE TELECOM INC., THRU ITS CONTRACTOR, ERICSSON TELECOMMUNICATION INC. FOR THE FIRM’S EXPANSION AND UPGRADING OF ITS EXISTING FACILITIES WITHIN THE TERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF MARIBOJOC, BOHOL.

WHEREAS, the telecommunication company that services the communication needs of the municipality of Maribojoc is the Globelines Telecom, Inc.;
WHEREAS, in line with the company’s thrust of further improving its services through state-of-the art facilities, it is embarking a Fiber Optic Transmission Project in Central Visayas, employing state of the act technology on Boardband Network System that will ensure an efficient and reliable means of Communication;
WHEREAS, this project, when completed will definitely translate into improved telecommunication services and additional convenience on our local residents, tourists & business community as well;
WHEREAS, Globe Telecom, Inc., thru Ericsson Telecommunication Inc. will undertake civil works for the underground installation of conduit pipes, fiber optic cables and other accessories along the National Highway within the jurisdiction of Maribojoc, Bohol;
WHEREAS, the giant telecommunication company when so granted such clearance, will be tasked to undertake and employ all means available to safeguard the immediate vicinity involved during the civil works;
WHEREAS, the giant telecommunication company must first be required to secure all the necessary permits and certifications from the different government agencies concerned, particularly the DPWH-district and regional offices-for the excavation, trenching, (manual & mechanized) directional drilling, installation of manholes/hand within the municipality;
WHEREAS, Globelines Telecom Inc., must also be required to execute an undertaking to pay, replace, repair, and/or restore any and all damages that they may cause on public or private properties, such as, but not limited to, concrete roads, fences, plants, etc.. . . in the course of their excavation and expansion works;
WHEREAS, the project when completed, will be mutually advantageous to both the telecommunication company and the municipality and its constituents since the company’s state of the art technology on broadband network system will be made available to the municipality and its constituents at the soonest possible time;
WHEREFORE, PREMISES CONSIDERED, BE IT RESOLVE, as it is hereby resolved, by the Sangguniang Bayan of Maribojoc, Bohol in its session duly assembled, to authorize the Local Chief Executive, Hon. Leoncio B. Evasco, Jr., to grant an excavation clearance to Globe Telecom, Inc., thru its contractor Ericsson Telecommunication, Inc. for the farm’s expansion and upgrading of its facilities.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be furnished to the Office of the Hon. Leoncio B. Evasco, Jr. and the Globe Telecom, Inc. for their information and appropriate action.
