AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE PUTTING OF ANY OBSTRUCTION WITHIN THE MARIBOJOC FISH PORT.

WHEREAS, it is the duty of the Sangguniang Bayan to regulate the use of the public utilities owned, maintained and operated by them within their jurisdiction;

WHEREAS, there has been a repeated complaints from fishermen as well as the fish buyers in the area to regulate the said fish port so as to eliminate the hindrance of the passing public;

WHEREAS, this fish port was created and built to provide safety and convenience of the passers and not for any other purposes;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Sangguniang Bayan in the Municipality of Maribojoc, Province of Bohol on their session duly assembled, that:

SECTION: 1. It shall be unlawful for any person or group of persons to put
bamboo rafts, dry docking stands, stalls, or the like that could hinder the passage at the Maribojoc Fish Port. .

SECTION: 2. That Maribojoc Fish Port be used only for the docking of fishing
boats for the purpose of loading and unloading and in no case shall allow “stand by” fishing boats be left within the area.

SECTION: 3. Any person or group of persons found violating the provisions in
the preceeding section shall be penalized by:

First Offense – P 50.00 and warning

Second Offense – P100.00 pesos

Third Offense – P 500.00 pesos

SECTION: 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.

Let copies of this ordinance be furnished to the Poblacion Barangay Council for proper information and guidance.
