AN ORDINANCE IMPOSING A FEE FOR THE USE OF “SHARP” KARAOKE FIVE- SPEAKER SOUND SYSTEM OWNED BY THE MUNICIPALITY OF MARIBOJOC, BOHOL.

WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991, has given Local Government Units greater authonomy, especially the power to generate its own sources of income;
WHEREAS, Section 155 of the said Local Government Code of 1991 authorizes the Sanggunian concerned to fix the rates of the imposition of fees or charges for the use among others “SHARP” KARAOKE FIVE-SPEAKER SOUND SYSTEM owned by the Municipality of Maribojoc, Bohol;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Sangguniang Bayan of Maribojoc, Bohol, that:
Sec. 1 – That Sharp Karaoke 5 Speaker Sound System was acquired at the cost of
P12,800.00 to be depreciated for so many years as determine by the COA.
Sec. 2 – It is a prime responsibility of the Maribojoc Municipal Government,
particularly the Sangguniang Bayan to see to it that this asset must not be abused.
However, it must be kept always in good order and conditions.
Sec. 3 – This Karaoke 5 speaker sound system is acquired for the purpose of
recording minutes and deliberations during SB sessions and seminars sponsored by
the Municipal Government of Maribojoc and other Sangguniang Bayan related
activities.
Sec. 4 – In order to fully utilize the said asset and eventually help the Maribojoc
Municipal Government augment its income, it is therefore imperative to explore all
legal avenues by way of imposing charges or fee to a person or group of persons,
association or corporations and those belonging to the National Government Units,
example DILG etc. but not to an individual for private purposes who would like to
avail the services or use of the KARAOKE 5 speaker sound system at the rate, to wit:
( The borrower shall pay the cost of repair in case of damage )
a.) One Hundred Fifty Pesos Only (P150.00) for one (1) to eight ( 8 ) operating
Hours, meaning one ( 1 ) hour use is P150.00 up to maximum of eight ( 8 ) hours per hour fraction thereof.
