AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING TRANSIENT PERSON OR PERSONS IN THE LOCALITY OF MARIBOJOC TO REGISTER AT THE OFFICE OF THE BARANGAY CAPTAIN CONCERNED FOR THE PURPOSE OF SECURITY AND IDENTIFICATION.

Be it ordained by the Sangguniang Bayan of Maribojoc, Bohol that:

Sec. 1 – Pursuant to the provision of the New Local Government Code of 1991, Local Government Units are empowered to pass measures that would ensure and support among other things, the preservation and enrichment of culture enhance the rights of the people, improve public morals and maintain peace and order.

Sec. 2 – All transient people who shall stay in the barangay for more than one day are required to register at the office of the barangay captain concerned for security and identification purposes.

Sec. 3 – It shall be considered as an lawful stay in the locality of Maribojoc for a transient person or persons without registering themselves first in the office of the Barangay Captain.

Sec. 4 – It shall be the duty of the host to bring their transient visitors to the office of the barangay captain to facilitate in the registration for the identification of the transient visitor or visitors, and that no amount will be collected in the registration purposes.

Sec. 5 – It shall be the duty of the Barangay Captain to make a proper listing and monitoring of transient of doubtful people registered in this office, indicate in his log book the purposes of their stay and their behavior during their sojourn.

Sec. 6 – Any person or group of persons who shall have violated this ordinance
will be fined or not less than ONE HUNDRED PESOS ( P100.00 ) or an imprisonment or not less than one month or both at the discretion of the Court.

Sec. 7 – That copies of this ordinance be furnished to Station Commander and all Barangay Captains of the Municipality of Maribojoc, Bohol.

Sec. 8 – This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
