AN ORDINANCE PROMULGATING RULES AND REGULATIONS ON THE OCCUPANCY OF THE 10 NEW STALLS AT THE MARIBOJOC PUBLIC MARKET.

BE IT ORDAINED, by the Sangguniang Bayan of Maribojoc, Bohol, that:
SECTION 1: Definition of Terms
a) Market Stalls – refers to any allotted space or both at the public market where merchandise of any kind is sold or offered for sale.
SECTION 2: That the Sangguniang bayan shall promulgate rules and regulations to be followed for the occupancy of the new market stalls at the Maribojoc Public Market.
SECTION 3: That the following rules and regulations shall be the bases on the
occupancy of the new market stalls.
a) That only ten (10) new market stalls shall be subject to bidding to be conducted by the Municipal Treasurer’s Office on the specified date and time which is approved by the Sangguniang Bayan.
b) That Mr. Vicente Echavia and Mrs. Mariana R. Estillore shall be relocated and to occupy the two stalls facing Redulla St.
c) That the ten (10) new stalls shall be bidded with the amount of O500.00 as a start of bid.
d) That the winners of the bidding shall pay the amount won during the bidding at the Municipal Treasurer’s Office right after the bidding otherwise his right to occupancy the stall shall be forefeited and said stall shall be subject to rebidding.
e) That the old occupants at the public market who are defeated during the bidding shall be given a privilege by paying the amount of bid won by the highest bidder of that particular stall being contested and if he is willing to pay the amount, the occupancy of the stall shall be awarded to him.
f) That the new market stalls shall not be displayed solely for tuba and softdrinks only but it should be a sari-sari store.
g) That the rental of stall is P35.00 per month.
h) No extra tables or firewoods will be allowed to be put up infront of each stall for display purposes in order not to block the corridors.
i) No cooking of food inside the stalls is allowed for protection purposes.
j) That the stall holders shall provide an electric connection of their own from the Boheco-I if they desire.
SECTION 4: That the occupant of the new stalls sign a contract of agreement for protection purposes of both the occupants and the Municipal Government of Maribojoc, Bohol.
SECTION 5: That any stall holder who violates the provisions of this ordinance upon verification of the Committee on Market Plans and found out to be guilty, the contract of agreement shall be terminated by the Municipal Government.
SECTION 6: That this ordinance takes effect upon approval.
