PROHIBITING VANDALISM AND IMPOSING PENALTIES THEREOF IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MARIBOJOC, BOHOL

WHEREAS, the properties of the state and the private properties of the people ought to be protected by the government;

WHEREAS, it has been observed that properties in both government and private sectors are being destroyed by unscrupulous persons;

WHEREAS, in order to protect these properties, right laws will be crafted for the constituents to follow;

WHEREFORE, be it ordained by the Sangguniang Bayan of Maribojoc, Bohol, that:

SECTION 1: Definition of Terms.-

a.) Vandalism – hostility to or willful destruction of artistic works or property in general.
b.) Property – any object of value that a person may acquire and hold.

SECTION 2: It is unlawful for any person or group of persons to destroy public and private properties in the Municipality of Maribojoc, Bohol.

SECTION 3: Public properties such as government buildings vehicles and other things inside the government buildings are lawful properties owned by the state.

SECTION 4: Private properties owned by individual persons are lawful things of value, hence these properties shall be protected from vandalism.

SECTION 5: Vandalism in all kinds is strictly prohibited in the Municipality of Maribojoc, Bohol.

SECTION 6: Penalty: anybody who violates the provisions of this ordinance shall be fined in the amount of P 1,500.00 or an imprisonment of five (5) days or both at the discretion of the court.

SECTION 7: Effectivity: This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
