AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING ALL GRADE SCHOOL CHILDREN TO ATTEND COMPULSORY EDUCATION

Be it ordained by the Municipal Sangguniang Bayan of Maribojoc, Bohol, that:

Section 1 – The Philippine Constitution states that all grade school children are required to attend compulsory education.

Section 2 –To ensure the success of this provision of our Philippine Constitution, all Municipal Officials, Barangay Officials and all Public School Teachers shall coordinate with each other for the proper implementation of this ordinance.

Section 3 – Parents of our grade school children shall inculcate to the minds of their children the importance of education to their children.

Section 4 – The non cooperation of parents in the education of their children can be a cause of disciplinary measures on the part of the parents.

Section 5 – Parents or guardian of school children who purposely ignore the importance of compulsory education of their children shall be fined of not less than ONE HUNDRED FIFTY PESOS (150.00p) nor more than TWO HUNDRED FIFTY PESOS (250.00p) or an imprisonment of not less than 15 days nor more than 25 days or both at the discretion of the court.
