PRESCRIBING FEES AND CHARGES FOR MINOR SURGICAL PROCEDURES AND OTHER MEDICAL SERVICES PERFORMED AT THE MUNICIPAL HEALTH OFFICE FOR MAINTENANCE PURPOSES.

PREPARATORY NOTE:
This proposed measure is introduced in the light of the call of the times, i-e,; the need for local government units to strengthen its fiscal autonomy as is clearly mandated in the Local Government Code of 1991.
We are all aware of how local government units are trying to cope up with their meager budgets coupled with the growing demands for the delivery of basics services towards its constituents.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Sangguniang Bayan of Maribojoc, Bohol, in its session duly assembled that:
SECTION 1: There shall be minor fees and charges to be collected for the following minor surgical procedures and other medical services performed at the Municipal Health Center, to wit:
a.) Saturing of Wound (Excluding Anesthesia)
Small - P 40.00
Medium - P 60.00
Large - P 85.00
b.) Incision
Small - P 120.00
Medium - P 180.00
Large - P 240.00
c.) Surgical Dressing
Small - P 12.00
Medium - P 18.00
Large - P 24.00
d.) Others:
Circumcision - P 180.00
Glucometer - P 80.00
Incision and Drainage - P 60.00
Removal of Foreign
Body (eye and ear) - P 60.00
Change of Catheter - P 25.00
Nebulization (MHO’s

SECTION 2: The Municipal Health Officer of his duly authorized representative, because of his extensive medical/technical training, is given the authority to the extent of wound, incision and dressing subject to these fees and charges.
SECTION 3: Payment shall be made at the Office of the Municipal Treasurer.
SECTION 4: The MHO shall post the different services and charges in a conspicuous place of the Municipal Health Center.
SECTION 5: This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
