AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING AN AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED TWENTY THOUSAND PESOS (P120,000.00) FOR THE LEGISLATIVE TRACKING SYSTEM PROJECT OF THE SANGGUNIANG BAYAN OF MARIBOJOC, BOHOL.

PREFATORY STATEMENT
WHEREAS, the Local Legislative Body or the Sangguniang Bayan plays an important role in improving the quality of life of the people with whom they are serving;
WHEREAS, the effectiveness and efficiency of local governance are determined not only on the delivery of basic services but also on implementation of dynamic and responsive executive-legislative agenda crafted by both the executive and legislative bodies of a local government unit;
WHEREAS, the training on Legislative Management and Information Tracking System is intended to improve the quality of the enacted local ordinances and resolutions and to strengthen the capability of the Sanggunian to effectively discharge their duties through the adoption of modern information technology;
WHEREAS, in order to be systematic in all records of the Sangguniang Bayan Office, it is important that said office will install an effective Legislative Tracking System Project to enhance the efficiency records keeping management in the office;
WHEREAS, to adopt the effective Legislative Tracking System in the Sangguniang Bayan, it is easy for the Staff and SB Members to retrieve the resolutions, ordinances and committee reports in just few minutes for reference and other purposes;
WHEREAS, the Legislative Tracking System Project should be installed in the Sangguniang Bayan Office in order to identify the quality resolutions and ordinances so that there will be no overlapping and duplications of ordinances and resolutions to be passed by the incumbent members of the Legislative Body;
WHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Bayan in their session duly assembled;
BE IT ORDAINED, by the Sangguniang Bayan of Maribojoc, Bohol, that:
SECTION 1: APPROPRIATION AND SOURCE – The amount of One Hundred Twenty Thousand Pesos (P120,000.00) is hereby appropriated out of the unappropriated surplus, General Fund, C.Y. 2007;
SECTION 2: PURPOSE – The amount of One Hundred Twenty Thousand Pesos
(P120,000.00) is hereby appropriated for the Legislative Tracking System Project solely in the Sangguniang Bayan Office.
SECTION 3: EQUIPMENT AND EXPENDITURES OF THE PROJECTS:
a.) IT Equipment and Software for Legislative Tracking System Project:
1. Purchase of Personal Computer and
Printer and External Disc Drive – - P 80,000.00
2. Installation of Software for Legislative
Tracking System – - P 10,000.00
3. Local Area Networking and Cabling – - P 10,000.00
b.) Training of the staff and SB Members to
handle the computers - – - P 20,000.00
T o t a l - – - P 120,000.00
SECTION 4: SPONSORSHIP AND DELIBERATION. This appropriation ordinance was fully deliberated by the SB Members present during the session assembled and was sponsored by mass motion.
SECTION 5: EFFECTIVITY. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
