Functional Statement:
- Implementation of agricultural/fisheries programs and projects in accordance with the basic needs and resources of the municipality;
- Coordination and implementation of Agricultural Support Services under the national programs;
- Extension of technical assistance to farmer/fisherfolk clientele including the information services catered by the Farmers’ Information and Technology Services Center (FITS); and
- Strengthening rural based organizations through family-based system in agricultural/fishery projects.
Objective:
- To encourage farmers/fisherfolk in adapting updated and proven technologies;
- To aim production increase in agricultural/fishery through the implementation of upgraded technologies; and
- To motivate individual members of an association to adapt family-based agriculture/gardening to support family needs.
