AN ORDINANCE TO BAN TREASURE HUNTING AND DIGGING WITHIN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MARIBOJOC, BOHOL

BE IT ORDAINED, by the Sangguniang Bayan of Maribojoc, Bohol, that:
SECTION 1: Definition of terms:
a) Treasure hunting – to search for any treasurer within the locality without knowing the exact location of such treasure.
b) Digging – to dig, search and excavate the earth in order to look for treasure underneath the earth.
SECTION 2: Any person or group of persons is prohibited to engage in treasure hunting and digging underneath the earth within the municipality of Maribojoc, Bohol for it would cause the destruction of the natural beauty of our scenic places, relics, artifacts and remains of the artful work of the ancient people in our town.
SECTION 3: Any person or group of persons who violates the provisions of this ordinance shall be fined in the amount of One Thousand Pesos P1,000.00).
SECTION 4: That this ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
